Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Your Uganda Adventure Safari begins as you arrive at Entebbe International Airport. You’ll be warmly greeted by our representative, who will facilitate your arrival formalities and transfer you to your hotel for an overnight stay. Depending on your arrival time, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Entebbe, visiting local malls, craft villages, or even the Botanical Gardens or Uganda Wildlife Educational Centre. For a relaxing experience, consider a cheese and wine sundowner on Lake Victoria (at a supplement).

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After an early breakfast, transfer to Entebbe Airport for a domestic flight to Kisoro Airstrip (approximately 1 hour). From Kisoro, you’ll be driven to your lodge, located just 35 km from Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park. This park, one of Uganda’s oldest rainforests, is home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. Upon arrival, enjoy a Batwa community visit or a cultural experience with the Rushaga Women’s Group. Optional activities include bird watching, guided nature trails, or relaxing at your luxurious lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking Experience

After an early breakfast, head to the starting point for a briefing on your gorilla trekking adventure. Your expert gorilla trackers will guide you into the jungle, where you’ll experience the magic of the gorillas in their natural habitat. The hike may be physically demanding, but it’s a rewarding and humbling experience to see these majestic creatures up close as they feed, play, and interact with their young.

You’ll have one hour with the gorillas, after which you’ll return to your lodge. If your trek was short, take the opportunity to relax or join an optional activity.

Day 4: Second Gorilla Trekking Experience

For an even deeper connection with the gorillas, embark on a second trek. Like your first trek, you will be guided by expert trackers into the dense forest. With each moment spent in the presence of these incredible creatures, you’ll gain a greater understanding of their behavior and the challenges they face.

Afterward, enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the lodge or engage in any of the lodge’s optional activities, such as a Batwa Experience or visiting a local school.

Day 5: Return to Entebbe

Following your unforgettable gorilla trekking experience, you’ll be transferred back to Kisoro Airstrip for a flight to Entebbe. Upon arrival, check into the Protea Hotel to freshen up before being transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.

Day 6: End of Itinerary
